He is someone who seems super smart and extremely precise as a surgeon but also has heart and faith. It might not be immediately perceived by some, but anyone who looks for it should be able to see it. I ran into someone along the way who had misunderstood him - and I think that would probably happen occasionally as often does with super smart people.
I don't particularly care for the waiting area, but it's acceptable.
Dr. Allgood is exceptional. The first time I encountered him he was ultra-clinical as he described the breast cancer diagnosis I had received; far too clinical in the sense of too much information because I was trying to avoid unpleasant information at the time . . . however, I understood why when I learned what he was personally experiencing; as he has experienced the extreme end of the diagnosis.
I must say, however, having the port removed seemed like a mini-surgery to me and I did have pain afterwards. As with the breast ultrasound guided biopsy, It seemed a bit barbaric as I lay there with my flesh being cut into and burned as needed . . . but better than the hassle of a surgery per se.
I have never had any issue with the nurses or check-in staff; they have met expectations of a well-functioning and considerate office.
When I went into surgery, I trusted him. He even, at my request, prayed with me prior to going in. This was at a point that I wouldn't have trusted anyone going into surgery and I was extremely anxious. It was because of his heart and his relationship with God as well as his expertise and dedication to his skill that I trusted him.
