At Mason City, IA - ordered Hand-Skewered Shrimp. I like salt, but those shrimp were incredibly S-A-L-T-Y!!! Our server asked how it was shortly after serving, so I told her. Next thing I know, the manager (Cassie, I think) came over to apologize and practically insisted on replacing the entire meal without seasoning. Much better this time. My wife had the Hickory Bourbon Salmon. It was great. The Key Lime Cake was pretty good, too. Great service. Highly recommended.
We stopped in about a week ago (this is a regular stop for us when we are traveling through) and ordered the salad bar like usual. We noticed a few new faces doing the salad bar, and it was decently stocked but we definitely miss the young lady who used to work there (I think her name was Annie?) she was always so polite! We also ordered our burgers to go as our waitress was very rude and seemed more interested in her cell phone than making sure to check up on us. It took about a half an hour for our burgers, was sad to see they are no longer server their biscuits, and manager with the long brown hair was yelling at her cooks from across the counter behind the bar - RUDE!!!
Very good overall. Decent prices, good food and drink selection, and strawberry lemonade. That's everything I want in a restaurant.
