Great group of people to do business with. I would and do recommend them to all my friends and family. Great selection and very helpful!!!
I found the staff and management of Community to be the most professional and honest of any dealership I visited in North Iowa. Jim Skarlis has been selling cars in North Iowa for a long time and everytime I came back he thanks me and makes me feel like Iam truly valued as customer. His service department is awesome also. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle in sales or service.
My wife need a cheap vehicle after she hit a deer with our Durango, we found a 2001 Chrysler Sebring for about $5000.00. We paid cash. When test driving I saw that the gas tank was almost empty. We also found that the vehicle had to crank along time to start. When I asked the sales man about this he stated the vehicle had been sitting for a while and with the low fuel is why it had long cranking. I asked if they would fill the tank so we could take another longer test drive. I was told that they keep the tanks as low a possible and refused to put more fuel in. We were in a bind needing a vehicle so we took it they stated that every vehicle goes though the shop and it had no problems. We filled that tank on the way home and parked that car in the drive. My wife went to use it the next morning (Sunday) and had a long crank time. Also the low oil light came on and stayed on. I checked the oil and it was full. Monday I called the dealer they agreed to look at it. We took it in that afternoon. They kept it over night and when I called then next day was told the fuel pump was going out and that it needed a new oil sensor. Parts and labor were going to cost around $800.00. I asked if they would fix them since we owned the car for less than 24 hours when the problem began. They refused, stating that it could not be know when the parts went bad, before or after the sale. I then asked for a refund of the vehicle, which they refused stating all sales are final. After several heated arguments with the store manager I asked for his boss, the owner. The manager refused to connect me or give me a number to call stating that the owner always sides with him. I finally gave up and am stuck with a vehicle with problems. We paid $5000.00 because that is all we could afford, I did not expect to have a diamond but something reliable. I WILL NOT buy from them again, even parts. I recommend everyone stay away.
This place is great. I get my vehicles serviced and maintained at the Community Chrysler location and I consistently get great service. The service staff is the best in Mason City. They are able to diagnose the vehicle problem quickly and resolve the problem fast. I highly recommend purchasing and getting your vehicle serviced at Community Chrysler!
Took my car in twice in the past six months for the same thing and both times they basically said there isn't anything wrong with it. Second time taking it in they said it "Wasn't that bad." When I picked my car up, the service guy was rude to me. Never got a phone call telling me what was up. Would NOT recommend buying a car from here!!!
